iTunes 9 with dark grid view background MOD
for Mac OS X 10.5.x & 10.6.x
Install instruction:
1. Back up your original iTunes.exe(path: /applications/iTunes/Contents/MacOS/iTunes).
2. Copy the iTunes.exe you get from the pack into the path referred above.
3. Enjoy!
Grid View Font Color:
Path: Macintosh HD/Applications/iTunes/Contents/Resource/***.lproj
Replace Localized.rsrc file in it.But the one in pack you download is for English version ONLY!
I do not test it in other version,If you wanna zoom in/out albums cover ,plz mod 560~573 font color (playlist dark theme 1~6 & 5~6 & 1~4) in *.lprj
ATTENTION:
solution about the bug In 10.6 or 10.6.1(the black frame surrounded your coverart):
go to system preferences->Displays->Color, click Calibrate button, and you will see a popup dialog, just continue and go to tab of target gamma, choose gamma 1.8, and then continue without any other change.
When all is done, choose the new display profile for your display then restart iTunes 9 and now enjoy the dark GRID VIEW background for your iTunes 9.
P.S: If you don’t like the color profile with gamma 1.8 and insisting on using gamma 2.2, sorry for that. I’ve not found another method to repair the bug.
Thanks Colfi’s helping.

Don't mess with the gamma settings

You really shouldn’t tell people to mess with their gamma settings, the new default in Snow Leopard is (and should be) 2.2, not 1.8.
If anything, the Leopard/Tiger users should change their gamma to 2.2 to see colors like the rest of the world do.

You don’t need this fix anymore, Apple reinserted the option for a dark background to the grid with the 9.0.2. update.
